Buckley Bed Holiday Cottage is set at the heart
of Edale, in the most spectacular and most photographed area of the
Derbyshire Peak District.
Edale is one of the best walking areas in England,
and is the start of the Pennine Way. Kinder Scout looms over the valley
to the north, and has some superb walking routes.
To the south lies Mam Tor, Lord's Seat, Back Tor
and Lose Hill - with more excellent walks available - all right from
the door!
This is also an excellent area for mountain biking - some of the best
in the North of England, with routes for cyclists of all abilities.
This area also offers excellent opportinities for
activities such as hang-gliding, rock climbing and caving.
Within easy reach are the famous caverns at nearby
Castleton, the Derwent Dams and Ladybower, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and historic towns
such as Buxton and Bakewell. Alton
Towers and the Heights of Abraham can easily be
visited in a day-trip.
